Jakhongir began his professional career at the Bunyodkor academy and made his debut in the first team in 2022. Tall and imposing, it did not take him long to make an impression, and the following year he was transferred to the Turkish club Eyüpspor, where he won promotion under coach Arda Turan. "He is wonderful as a person,” Urosov said. “As a coach, he is very demanding, organised and attentive." He returned to Uzbekistan in 2025 to join Dinamo, where he is one of the key defensive figures. Andrey Pyatnitsky, the former Russia and Uzbekistan dual international who coached at Dinamo, has praised Urozov as “a national team-level player” but also identified a “concentration issue” that can affect his play. Despite being a defender, Urozov can pose a threat in set pieces in front of the opponent's goal, and demonstrated this on his debut, when he scored in a 3-1 win over Gabon.
