For fans of the Karshi club Nasaf, Eshmurodov is not just a player but a symbol, the heart of their team. It has not been a straightforward journey – they sold him in 2020, bought him back in 2021, sold him again in 2024 and bought him back once more in 2025 – but along the way he has played more than 300 games for them, winning the Uzbek Cup three times and the Uzbek Supercup twice. Now 33, the Nasaf head coach, Ruzikul Berdiev, calls him "a coach on the pitch". Eshmurodov made his debut for the Uzbekistan national team in 2020 and has now been in the squad for more than 50 matches. He described the team’s World Cup qualification as “the greatest achievement in our history”, adding: “This is not only the dream of our players, but also of the entire Uzbek people. We will give our all in every game when we go on the field to make this dream come true. Our current squad is stronger than ever and we are ready to make history." Eshmurodov is distinguished by his composure on the field, his positioning and his superiority in aerial duels.
