One of Brighton’s players of the season, Kadioglu has excelled in the Premier League following his move from Fenerbahce in 2024. His manager, Fabian Hürzeler, recently described him as the "ultimate total footballer," noting that his "understanding of the game is so elite that he makes every tactical shift look seamless”. Born in Arnhem to a Turkish father and a Dutch-Canadian mother he could have represented either of the three countries. After becoming the youngest ever player to represent NEC Nijmegen in the Eredivisie at the age of 16 years and 326 days in 2016, he moved to Fenerbahce two years later. “It was a big step, coming from a small city in Holland to move to Istanbul,” he told the Athletic. “It was huge for me and it was not easy; a new team, a new style of play. Everything was new, so I needed time to adapt.” For the national team he has built a strong connection with Kenan Yildiz down the flank and the duo are a nightmare for the opposition when they get going.
