Outstanding during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the experienced goalkeeper is preparing to take part in his second World Cup finals. An undisputed starter for the Eagles of Carthage throughout the qualifiers – where he didn’t concede a goal – and during the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Dahmen missed the friendly matches against Haiti and Canada in March, with coach Sabri Lamouchi handing a start to each of his two other squad keepers. Dahmen plays for his hometown club, CS Sfaxien, who have turned down lucrative offers to keep him as their No 1. It remains to be seen whether Dahmen will wear that shirt for Tunisia’s opening match against Sweden in Monterrey.
