Ismaël Gharbi #11
MID · Braga · The future · Tunisia
Profile
Born in Paris, Gharbi played at youth level for France and Spain, before declaring for Tunisia in August 2025 after years of negotiations. After spending time in Paris FC’s youth setup, the versatile midfielder moved to PSG’s academy in 2016 and broke into first-team contention five years later. The former PSG player Mathieu Bodmer has credited Gharbi with having “cold blood … in the penalty area, time stops for him.” His club career has stalled, though. After moving to Braga on a five-year deal, Gharbi spent last season at Augsburg, making just six Bundesliga appearances. Asked about his call-up for the March training camp despite his limited playing time at club level, Sabri Lamouchi explained: “He is not playing because of choices made at his club. But for me, he can bring a tremendous amount to this national team.”
