He rarely speaks to the media, but on the pitch Achouri is one of Tunisia’s most influential attacking players. Supporters regard the hard-working winger as being capable of changing a match single-handedly. Achouri arrives at the World Cup in peak form after an impressive campaign with Copenhagen, scoring five goals and notching seven assists in all competitions. At Afcon 2025, he scored twice in the 3-1 win over Uganda, but missed a penalty in the shootout loss to Mali. Born on the French island of Réunion to a Tunisian father and an Algerian mother, Achouri’s playing career has taken him to France, Portugal and now Denmark. He appears almost certain to start this summer and could be the team’s key creative spark.
