Moved from Zurich to Chelsea as a 16-year-old and while he did not make it all the way to the first team he has some tremendous memories from his time in London. “You become more mature by moving abroad on your own and the set-up was fantastic. I remember Eden Hazard suddenly being in the changing room as he was playing for the Under-23s while returning to fitness. He was so nice and relaxed. And what a player. He showed straight away what you can do with a ball: simply sensational.” Returned to Switzerland and St Gallen in 2018 and made the breakthrough despite having suffered an ACL injury early on. Joined Hamburg three years later and won his first Switzerland cap as a 2. Bundesliga player before being promoted to the top flight. Is now part of the leadership group at HSV.
