A pacey winger able to operate on both flanks, Eom is a product of the same high school that nurtured the former Swansea star Ki Sung-yueng. When Eom moved to Wales in 2024 from K League 1 club Gwangju FC he said: “Ki contacted me and we spoke on the phone. It was a big help because Ki cheered me on, told me to work hard, and told me that I would adapt well. I was young at the time when he played for Swansea, so I don't remember much, but I do remember some fantastic mid-range shots and goals. Since I was young, I dreamed of emulating players like Ki Sung-yueng and Park Ji-sung, and I think that was the driving force that brought me to where I am now. I think that’s why I was able to seize such a great opportunity.” Famous for using Son Heung-min’s famous camera celebration, he owes his name to having parents who were devoted fans of Park Ji-sung.
