Ahmed Al-Kassar #22
GK · Al-Qadsiah · Veteran · Saudi Arabia
Profile
The oldest player in the squad and, indeed, the oldest Saudi Arabian ever to go to a World Cup. Has been a bit of a journeyman in the domestic league, never playing for one of the Big Four. Despite his advancing years, he only made his international debut in 2024 during the earlier stages of qualification under Roberto Mancini but played little under Hervé Renard. He hasn’t played much this season for Al-Qadsiah either, with Koen Casteels getting the nod from Brendan Rodgers but he came in and did a job when needed and that will be the case at the World Cup too.
