Yazan Al-Arab #5
DEF · FC Seoul · Leader · Jordan
Profile
Widely regarded as a cornerstone of the team, admired for his leadership, physical strength and commanding presence in defence. His ability to organise the defence has made him one of the most recognisable and respected players in Jordanian football. He began his career with Al-Jazeera and later Al-Wehdat, where his consistent performances earned him national recognition. His move abroad included a spell at Selangor in Malaysia, marred by controversy involving a referee that earned a lifetime ban in the country. Despite this setback, he showed resilience by rebuilding his career in Iraq and Qatar before eventually joining FC Seoul. In South Korea, he quickly became a fan favorite beside his friend Jesse Lingard. Has been a key defensive leader for Jordan and also contributes offensively, particularly from set pieces. His goal against Iraq in the 2023 AFC Asian Cup knockout stage remains one of the defining moments of Jordan’s historic run to the final.
