Josué Casimir #21
FWD · Auxerre · Lightning quick · Haiti
Profile
On the sunlit pitches of Guadeloupe, Josué Casimir learned football the hard way. No space, no time, just instinct. He grew up in a household where the game was less a hobby than a language. By the time he reached Le Havre’s academy, he already played with defiance. Coaches quickly learned not to cage him. “Let him run,” one reportedly joked, and run he does. Casimir is electric: quick over five yards, fearless in the air though he is not particularly tall, and blessed with a winger’s swagger. He doesn’t just beat defenders; he teases them. He plays with a smile you can almost hear. But beyond the flair lies something deeper. He played youth football for Guadeloupe, for whom his brother Stevenson plays in defence, but choosing Haiti, his parents’ homeland, gave his career a different heartbeat.
