Warren Zaïre-Emery #18

MID · Paris St-Germain · Comeback kid · France

Profile

Zaïre-Emery was billed as France's next wonderkid, but he came back down to earth in 2025. Having become the youngest player to play for PSG when he debuted at the age of 16, he was in the France squad before he had turned 18. Scoring on debut only increased the noise. "The sky is the limit. I've never seen a player that young being so mature," said Thierry Henry, who worked with Zaïre-Emery during his time as France Under-21 manager. Fewer minutes and a loss of form saw him return to the France Under-21 side last autumn. "Confidence is playing a big part," he admitted. "It is up to me to mentally go and free myself, to play how I know I can, to have that carelessness when I was young." Still only 20, he worked his way back into the PSG side this year and back into the senior side, too.
