An experienced forward who made his senior debut for Slavia Prague back in 2016, and now, a decade later, turns out for rivals Sparta. Kuchta also had spells in Russia with Lokomotiv Moscow and Denmark with Midtjylland. Life with the international side hasn’t always been easy: in November 2023 he was one of three players – with Jakub Brabec and Vladimir Coufal – kicked out of the training camp for going clubbing two days before a Euro 2024 qualifier against Moldova. Aggressive and powerful on the pitch, he’s more nurturing off it, raising chickens, rabbits, ducks and geese at his family farm. When he moved to Moscow in 2022 and had to leave them behind he said: "Chickens are part of my life, I was used to going to them in the morning, then again after training, it cleared my head. It will take a while to adjust. I can’t take them there, it’s -17 degrees… The chickens will just have to wait until I am home, and I will pay a lot of attention to them again."
