After spells in the academies of PSV Eindhoven and De Graafschap, Bodak is now at Telstar but still awaiting his senior club debut. However, he already has several caps for Curaçao, having - unlike many of this teammates - risen through the country’s age-groups to make his first-team debut at 19 while playing for PSV’s reserves and studying hotel and event management. “I’ve wanted to open my own bed & breakfast since secondary school,” he told TIO Business School, outlining his plans beyond football. Bodak even did an internship at his former teammate Mitch Apau’s chip shop, which is situated at the Telstar stadium, where Bodak is currently behind Ronald Koeman Jr in the pecking order. Sport runs in the family: his father and two of his brothers focused on baseball while another brother is also an active sportsman.
