Nine years ago Kuwas became the subject of a song bearing his name, produced by his close friend and rapper Jonna Fraser. The song was a tribute to their friendship, detailing how they spent their youth together, sharing dreams of becoming an artist and a footballer. They both went on to achieve those goals and when the song was released, Kuwas was flying high with Heracles Almelo in the Eredivisie. He even got a phone call from Danny Blind, the then Netherlands head coach, saying that he was being monitored for a call-up. In the end he was not selected and shortly afterwards he chose to represent Curaçao. He has ended up wearing orange at club level though, playing for Volendam, where he started his career.
