Dailon Livramento #19
FWD · Casa Pia · Star boy · Cape Verde
Profile
Some people are destined for greatness and Livramento was one of them. The son of Cape Verdean musical icon Marizia do Rosario, Livramento made his singing debut as a one-year-old when his baby talk was featured in Marizia’s song Daily dedicated to him. The forward himself sings and his brother Jerzy is part of Dutch hip-hop group Broederliefde. Despite only being called up for the first time in 2024 he has already notched seven goals for The Blue Sharks, four of them crucial in qualifying, including both of the goals that sent Cape Verde to the World Cup against Cameroon and Eswatini. “When I scored I pointed to my wrist,” he told the Guardian after the match about his now iconic celebration. “It’s time to go to the World Cup.” In Daily, Marizia describes Livramento as her “everything in the world,” little did she know that he would come to mean just as much to the rest of her tiny island homeland.
