How many times will we see Doku hit the “Griddy” (his trademark dance celebration) at the World Cup? Belgium fans didn’t see it often enough last season, but with five goals and three assists the speedster and prolific dribbler was still one of the most important players in the qualifiers. If he stays fit and performs well fans will surely be treated to another episode of his “dokumentary” on YouTube; previous episodes have included discussing his faith, and taking viewers to Ghana, where his parents were born. His dad was already well-known, though, thanks to a story he told about the time his boy, then in the youth system at Anderlecht, was being shown around Liverpool’s training complex ahead of a possible transfer. His dad told Nieuwsblad that, when they were being shown around, the Liverpool staff seemed twitchy because “we were talking about Chelsea quite often. Liverpool were afraid that Jérémy would sign there instead. But we were just talking about our youngest daughter. Her name is Chelsea.”
