After progressing through Red Bull Salzburg’s academy, Prass joined Sturm Graz on a free transfer in 2021. “I never got the feeling that they really wanted me,” he said of Salzburg. In Graz, he developed into an influential, high-energy presence and played a key role in the side that ended Salzburg’s decade-long title run in 2024. His assist for the decisive goal on the final day captured his style: a risky, almost ill-judged surge from midfield that came off more through sheer force than ball control. Consistent performances at Sturm, followed by an impressive Euro 2024, earned him a move to Hoffenheim. Used primarily as a left-back by Ralf Rangnick, Prass can lack composure in one-on-one situations but compensates with relentless running down the flank.
