Nicknamed “Stefan Porsche” by Bologna fans, the versatile 29-year-old moved to Como and is currently on loan at Mainz. It was at Bologna that Posch made his name as a full-back after moving from centre-back. “At first I thought it was just a limited period of time and that I would move back into the centre,” he once said. Instead, he made the role his own. Posch, who is a managing director and shareholder in a property company, brings real drive going forward with his excellent passing, dynamism and a clear eye for goal. Under Ralf Rangnick, when fit, he has been one of Austria’s more understated constants in recent years. In 2020, he was made an honorary citizen of his home town, Kraubath an der Mur.
